Civilized Reader Convention
To wear tidy clothes: No vests or slippers are allowed in the library.
 
To stress on cleanness: No spitting or littering.
 
To act civilly: No arguing or fighting in the library.
 
To keep quiet: No shouting or the use of communication device with sound.
 
To treasure the time: No occupation of seats, chatting or sleeping in the library.
 
To cherish property: No damage to building facilities and library materials.
 
To follow rules: Don't do things that violate the Library policy.
 
To respect yourself: Don't do things that harm the personality. The National Library of China expects every reader to actively follow the convention, as a way to assist us in providing better services to all readers.
