On 1 December, the opening ceremony of the Exhibition in Commemorating the 130th Anniversary of Zhou Xinfang's Birth was held in the National Museum of Classic Books. The exhibition was sponsored by Shanghai Municipal Administration of Culture and Tourism and the National Library of China (National Museum of Classic Books), organized by Shanghai Art Research Center, Shanghai Center of Chinese Operas, Shanghai Jingju Theater Company, and Zhou Xinfang Art Research Association, and supported by the Opera Research Institute of the Chinese National Academy of Arts, Shanghai Library, Shanghai History Museum (Shanghai Revolution Museum), and Shanghai Drama Creation Center.

The exhibition consisted of four sections, which displayed more than 200 precious exhibits, including 63 physical objects, 146 photographs, and 12 audio-visual works, presenting a comprehensive and multi-faceted view of Zhou Xinfang's artistic achievements, theatrical ideas, and personal charm. The exhibition also featured a VR interactive section where visitors could take a photo with classic characters portrayed by Zhou Xinfang by scanning a QR code.

During the exhibition, several public welfare lectures would be held, inviting representative guests to share the unique charm of the Qi School of Jingju with visitors.


The exhibition was open to the public for free at the 10th Exhibition Hall of the National Museum of Classic Books on 2 December, and would run until 4 January 2026.
