On 7 August, Huo Ruijuan, Deputy Director of the National Library of China (NLC), met with Rodrigo Mendes Araujo, the Economic Counselor of the Brazilian Embassy in China.
Both sides expressed that China and Brazil had been maintaining a friendly strategic relationship, and the NLC and the National Library of Brazil also had good exchanges and cooperation within the BRICS Library Alliance. They hoped to take the upcoming “China-Brazil Cultural Year” as an opportunity, with the assistance of the Brazilian Embassy in China, to carry out more efficient cooperation between the library communities of the two countries.
Rodrigo Mendes Araujo and his delegation also visited the exhibitions of the National Museum of Classic Books and Chinese Books Area in the NLC North Area.
