On 10 December, Chen Ying, Secretary of the CPC Committee of the NLC and Deputy Director of the NLC, attended the 2024 BRICS Library Alliance Summit online. The conference was hosted by the Russian National Library, the rotating chairman of the BRICS Library Alliance, with the theme of "National Library Projects Changing Community Life". Directors of national libraries from Brazil, India, China, South Africa, Iran, the United Arab Emirates, and Egypt participated in the conference through a combination of online and offline methods.
Chen Ying gave a keynote speech titled "Building a Traditional Culture Dissemination Platform Based on the National Museum of Classic Books ", introducing the practice and achievements of the NLC in bridging traditional culture with contemporary society.
