From 19 November to 26 November, Wei Chong, Deputy Director of the National Library of China (NLC), led a 5-person delegation to attend the 40th business exchange between the NLC and the National Diet Library (NDL) in Japan. KURATA Keiko, Director General of the NDL, and YAMAJI Yasushi, Deputy Director General of the NDL, attended the exchanges.
Wei Chong and YAMAJI Yasushi presented a report on the work of their respective libraries over the past year respectively. The two sides conducted in-depth exchanges and discussions on topics such as the promotion of barrier-free reading activities, the utilization and long-term preservation of electronic documents. They also discussed the relevant provisions of the "Letter of Intent on Exchange and Cooperation between the National Library of China and the National Diet Library of Japan" to prepare for the signing of the letter of intent.
During the period, the delegation also visited the NDL International Library of Children's Literature, Kansai-kan of the NDL, the Toyo Bunko, Osaka Prefectural Nakanoshima Library, and so on.
