The NLC receives 4 titles of precious documents in Chinese ethnic minorities' languages

On 31 October, the National Library of China (NLC) received 4 titles of precious ancient books donated by Zhejiang Outlets Plaza Co., Ltd., such as Tuo Luo Ni Jing Zhou in Sanskrit which was engraved and printed in Tang Dynasty. At a donation ceremony held at Hangzhou State Guest House, Rao Quan, received the donation on behalf of the NLC and presented donation certificates to donors. Li Gao, Vice Minister of Publicity Department of Zhejiang Province, Shen Hao, Vice President of China Academy of Arts, Chu Shuqing, Director of Zhejiang Library, Fan Jingzhong, professor of China Academy of Arts, Weng Lianxi, research librarian of the Palace Museum, Master Jie Qing, abbot of Jingci Temple, attended the ceremony. The activity was presided over by Chen Hongyan, Deputy Director of the NLC Ancient Books Library.

Rao Quan said that Mr. Jin Liang donated his collections to the NLC, which was a great support for the NLC for adhering to the mission of "Inherit Civilization and Serve the Society". Mr. Jin Liang followed Zhou Shutao, Fu Zengxiang, and other social elites who donated collections to the NLC. It was also a specific measure for public and private collectors to jointly implement the spirit of the General Secretary Xi Jinping's reply letter to the NLC senior experts, inherit and carry forward Chinese traditional culture. The NLC would protect, inherit and utilize these precious documents. We sincerely hoped that more talented people would participate in the great cause of the preservation and protection of the Chinese nation's cultural heritage, build cultural confidence together, and promote the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation with the development and prosperity of Chinese culture.

Zhejiang Outlets Plaza Co., Ltd., donated 4 titles of precious collections to the NLC, including a piece of Sanskrit Tuo Luo Ni engraved and printed in Tang Dynasty, a case of Tibetan Gan Zhu Er in Lijiang of Ming Dynasty, a case of Tibetan Gan Zhu Er printed during the Qing Emperor Kangxi, and a case of Ban Nuo Bo Luo Mi Duo Ba Qian Song printed by copperplate printing in the late Qing Dynasty, which enriched the NLC ancient books collections.
