Introduction

The NLC implements the relevant cultural agreements on behalf of the nation, adheres to win-win strategy, and is committed to strengthening exchange and cooperation with the world's library and cultural communities. The NLC has successively established ISSN China Center, IFLA-PAC China Centre, IFLA Chinese Language Centre, and so on, and actively participated in international library affairs; the NLC has formed partnerships with 265 institutions in 78 countries and regions for exchanges of publications; the NLC has maintained and explored the friendly communication with the libraries in the world; the NLC has established cooperative staff programs and technology exchanges, as well as resources sharing, with England, the United States, France, Russia, Australia, Singapore, Japan, Korea and other countries; the NLC has held Conference on Cooperative Development and Sharing of Chinese Resources, China-North America Libraries Cooperation Conference, Forum for Asia Library Directors, and other international conferences, which represent the roles of China and enhance the international position and influence of Chinese library community; the NLC actively carries out the "Go Out" national cultural strategy, and launches "World Digital Library", "Digital Libraries of China, Japan and Korea", and other international cooperation projects, and holds Chinese documents exhibitions in overseas countries, carrying forward Chinese culture; the NLC carries out "Overseas Chinese Ancient Books Survey & Digitalization Cooperation Projects", which investigates overseas Chinese valuable ancient books, promotes return of ancient books and Minguo documents in manner of digitalization.
