Atlas of the world's languages in danger

 

Published in 2010, the third edition of the "world map endangered languages" points out that the world has 199 languages in emergency situation, there are 18 languages classified as "critically endangered language" because the user of such languages are arguably less than 10 people, mostly even only one. This book aims to awakening the public awareness of endangered languages. Online version provides the interactive retrieval tools which can be inquired through country, name of the language, the number of multiple access points such as query endangered languages in different countries and regions.

THE GLOBALISATION OF CULTURAL TRADE: A SHIFT IN CONSUMPTION 

UNESCO institute of statistics in the spring of 2016 cultural products and services on global trade statistics released the latest report, in 2013 by 10 years, despite the global has experienced the recession and mass in film, music and other products in the consumer shift to service based on network platform, cultural products trade doubled during this period. At the same time, China overtook the US as the biggest exporter of cultural products. According to the report, art and artifacts rose to 10 types of cultural products in the trade of the world's biggest trade ranking, it is mainly affected by the gold ornaments. In addition, the portion of statues, sculpture and painting, and other products in the arts and crafts products has increased. Report also pointed out that, music, movies and newspapers, and other products are gradually become a part of the cultural services, but have huge impact by digital production process. Report said that despite the trade of  printing products, including newspapers also fell, but the books as important cultural products, increased up to 20% over the same period in some areas.
