The Government of Canada consists of three levels: the federal government, provincial government, and municipal government. The federal government is responsible for national affairs such as diplomacy, national defense, trade and business, criminal law, social welfare, etc. It also possesses concurrent jurisdiction in immigrants, agriculture and other affairs with the provincial government. The provincial and regional governments are responsible for education, health, social services, governing municipal government, etc. They share common jurisdiction with the federal government in many aspects. The municipal government mainly manages local affairs. The federal government is composed of executive power (the Governor-General, Prime Minister and Cabinet), legislative power (the House of Representatives and House of Lords) and judicial power (the Supreme Court). The provincial government's structure is similar to that of the federal government. The Government Publications of Canada (GPC) contains a large number of publications. Since the official languages of Canada are English and France, many of the GPC provide bilingual versions.
