Through a gender-aggregated inventory of gender-related postgraduate theses developed over the period 2013-2020 at Cairo University, and at the American University in Cairo,the publication also assesses how gender and gender equality issues are addressed. This study calls on policymakers, universities, and entities concerned with gender research and policies to take the lead in driving transformative and informed gender policies by incentivizing and rewarding action research in Egypt.
