This study investigates the enrolment and engagement of women in STEM and leadership positions in tertiary institutions of nine southern African countries. The report aims to provide evidence on the current status of women’s engagement in higher education within the selected contexts, raising awareness on the topic in Africa and offering policy recommendations on how to foster gender equality in the region.
