The NLC signs a strategic cooperation agreement with the Institute of Modern History of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences


On 22 December, the signing ceremony of strategic cooperation agreement between the National Library of China (NLC) and the Institute of Modern History of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences was held. Xiong Yuanming, Director of the NLC, Zhang Zhiqing, Deputy Director of the NLC, and Jin Yilin, Deputy Director of the Institute of Modern History of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, attended the ceremony.

Xiong Yuanming said that the establishment of a strategic cooperative relationship between the NLC and the Institute of Modern History of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences had built an important platform for making full use of the advantages of literature resources and talents of both sides to carry out practical cooperation, which was conducive to further promoting the collation, preservation, development and utilization of revolutionary literature, anti-Japanese War literature and Minguo literature at a higher level, in a wider range and in a wider field.

Jin Yilin said that the two sides had a long history of cooperation, especially in the collation and publication of documents. More than 2,000 volumes of special subject documents had been published. He hoped that both sides could further strengthen cooperation in document cataloguing, collation, research, digital resource construction, and so on.

Xiong Yuanming and Jin Yilin signed a cooperation agreement on behalf of the two sides. According to the agreement, the two sides would give full play to their respective advantages, carry out practical cooperation in academic exchange, talent training and business training, share the digital achievements of relevant documents, and jointly promote the research and utilization of revolutionary documents and Minguo documents.

After the ceremony, the personnel of both sides visited "The Special Exhibition of the Communist Manifesto", which was being displayed in the National Museum of Classic Books.
