On 10 December, the online working meeting of IFLA Asia-Oceania Regional Division Committee was held. As a committee member, Chen Ying, Deputy Director of the National Library of China (NLC), attended the meeting and had in-depth exchanges with other attendees on various topics.

At the meeting, the committee members considered the agenda of the meeting, the minutes of the last meeting and other working documents. They focused on discussing the draft of IFLA Asia-Oceania Regional Division Action Plan (2021-2023). It was decided that the members should give their feedback to the IFLA Secretariat and the IFLA Regional Council in written form after further improving the contents. In addition, the meeting also discussed internal organizations, the division of responsibilities of members and the arrangement of future meetings, which laid a foundation for the effective work of the Committee.

IFLA was the most authoritative and influential professional international organization in the world library community. In August 2021, according to the new governance structure of IFLA, IFLA Asia-Oceania Regional Division was officially established to improve regional representation and work efficiency and promote the librarianship development in Asia and Oceania. At present, affected by the epidemic, the working meetings of IFLA Asia-Oceania Regional Division Committee would be held online.
