Rao Quan expressed sincere gratitude to master Hsing Yun for his support for librarianship and ancient books preservation and conservation. He believed that it would be a positive and beneficial deed for both sides of the Taiwan Strait, the Buddhist and secular communities to communicate friendship and plan development with culture and ancient books as the media, and he was full of expectations for the close cooperation between the two sides in the future. Ru Chang said that Fo Guang Shan had been making continuous efforts in inheriting and carrying forward Chinese traditional culture, and he hoped to further strengthen cultural exchanges between the two sides. Besides, Fo Guang Shan collected eight Chinese characters from Master Hsing Yun's works, i.e. "Bao Hu Gu Ji, Gong De Wu Liang", and donated them to the NLC after stamping.

In addition, the two sides preliminarily reached an intention on jointly holding Buddhist scriptures exhibition in the National Museum of Classic Books in 2020, so as to deepen cross-strait integration and development, gather cross-strait cultural identity, and provide a model of cooperation for reference.
