Han Yongjin, Director of the NLC, meets with Director of the National Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan and signs cooperation agreement


On 10 October, Han Yongjin, Director of the National Library of China (NLC), met with Seidumanov Zhanat Turarovich, Director of the National Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan (NLRK). Sun Yigang, Deputy Director of the NLC, were also present.


Han Yongjin showed welcome to Seidumanov Zhanat Turarovich and his delegation. He said that the NLC had always been paying great attention to the exchanges and cooperation with the NLRK. The cooperation agreement represented that both sides reached a consensus on cultural heritage research, book publishing, digital library, and so on. Seidumanov Zhanat Turarovich said that he hoped both libraries could promote mutual visits and business exchanges, explore the possibility of co-publishing books, and keep friendly and cooperative relations for a long time under the guidance of cooperation agreement.


After the meeting, Seidumanov Zhanat Turarovich donated books to the NLC on behalf of the NLRK. Both sides signed Memorandum of Understanding between the National Library of China and the National Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

After the activity, the delegation visited the National Museum of Classic Books and the NLC North Area.
