Q1. Can I enter the library without a mask?
No. Please wear a mask all the way, otherwise you are not allowed to enter the library.
Q2. Must I make a reservation for the entrance?
Yes. At present, a reservation system is implemented.
The NLC Children's Library receives children aged 15 and below. The guardian can make a reservation for the children. Children entering the Children's Library shall be accompanied by a guardian. Accompanying guardians (one guardian for one child) can enter the NLC Children's Library by presenting the reservation code of the Children's Library, the NLC Reader's Card or valid certificates.
Elderly readers aged 60 years or above can make a reservation on behalf of others and enter the library with valid reservation code of that day. For elderly readers who have difficulties in making a reservation can enter the library by registering with a valid ID card.
Q3. Do I need to make a reservation only for returning books?
There is no reservation need for self-service book return. The location is 24-hour Self-service Book Return in the outside of the East Gate of the NLC South Area.
If you need to enter the library for book return, please make a reservation in advance.
Q4. When can I make a reservation? Which arrival time can I reserve?
Wechat reservation: Monday to Sunday 9:00-21:00; Telephone reservation: Monday to Sunday 9:00-16:00;
You can make a reservation for the next three days.
Q5. If I can't come to the library during the reservation period, can I still reserve the right to use the reservation code?
The reservation code is expired once it is overdue. If you can't get to the library, please cancel the reservation as soon as possible, otherwise it may affect your future reservation.
Q6. Why can't I receive the verification code sent by the reservation system?
You can check whether the SMS with signature of the NLC has been received in spam SMS, or confirm whether the SMS notification channel of the NLC has been included in the SMS blacklist.
Q7. How can I find WeChat reservation information?
Method 1: after you make a reservation, the "National Library Service Account" will send you a "reminder of successful reservation" message, and you can check the message.
Method 2: you can enter the "National Library Service Account" and click "Reader Service-Admission Reservation-My Reservation" to view the reservation information.
Q8. How can I cancel reservation?
Cancelling Wechat reservation: you can enter the "National Library Service Account", click "Reader Service-Admission Reservation-My Reservation" to choose your needed reservation item, and then click “Cancelling Reservation” in reservation details page.
Cancelling telephone reservation: you can cancel the reservation by calling 40060069888/010-88545426, and then transferring to human service.
Tips: If you can't arrive at the library for some reason, please cancel the reservation as soon as possible, otherwise it may affect your future reservation (If you can't arrive at the library according to the reservation time, or you can't cancel the reservation in time, you will be recorded to break the reservation once. Readers who break the appointment for three times within 30 days will not be able to enjoy the reservation service within 30 days from the day when he breaks the reservation for the third time).
Q9. If I leave the library temporarily, do I need to make a new reservation?
You can enter the library again during the valid reservation period.
Q10. Can I refund the deposit?
Yes. You can refund deposit in Reader Registration.

Q11. Do overdue books have to pay overdue fees?
From 24 January 2020 to 30 days after the full resumption of the library, the overdue fees will be exempted.
Q12. Can I transfer the screen capture of the library reservation code to someone else to borrow and return the book?
No. During the normalized epidemic prevention and control period, the real name reservation system is implemented in our library. The reservation information is only for personal use.
Q13. Are deposit offices open?
Yes. The deposit offices of the NLC South Area, North Area and Ancient Books Library are open.
